Records begin on your device. You explicitly choose whether to sync them to your private iCloud database; turning sync off stops future transfers and deletes neither local nor cloud data. Trace has no account system, ad SDK, or analytics SDK.

Existing records remain available to view, play, export, and delete. The exact purchase boundary will be listed item by item on the App Store page and purchase screen.
No. Trace and ScribeTrail are separate App Store purchases. A future handoff can let ScribeTrail transcribe Trace records you explicitly provide, without silently sharing accounts or data.
Yes. Audio, text, and routes are local-first. iCloud, place-name lookup, and system model downloads require a connection.
The first public release focuses on portrait iPhone layouts, with a companion Apple Watch experience.
